On October 2, 2020, in accordance with the new structure of the rector of Taraz Regional University named after M.Kh. Dulati created the Ustaz Institute.

In October 2023, due to new structural changes, the university was reorganized into the Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Sciences.

The mission of the faculty is to train human capital based on innovative pedagogical practice and values: openness, purity, creativity.

Professor of the Department of Social Psychology, Kerimbaeva Rysty Kaldykhanovna, became the winner of the competition for grant financing of scientific and scientific-technical projects for 2025-2027, organized by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The title of the scientific project is AP26104365-“Socio-pedagogical conditions for the adaptation of children in need of special preschool education to an inclusive environment through play”. The relevance of the project is the development of game resources for adapting children with special needs to an inclusive environment, their implementation in the educational process, obtaining patents for products, and preparation for commercialization. The project was highly rated and received a grant of 90 million.

On September 5, 2025, on the Day of the Languages ​​of the People of Kazakhstan, the Department of Culture and Language Development of the Zhambyl Region Akimat awarded Professor Kerimbaeva Rysty Kaldykhanovna with a certificate of honor from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan "For active participation in the implementation of the Language Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and contribution to the promotion and development of the state language." A major student forum was held in Almaty on November 25-26.

Sabina Ilkhamovna Grebenyuk, a fourth-year student in the 22-2 group of the HTC, is actively involved in the university's community and project activities. She serves as the vice captain for administrative affairs on the ENACTUS DULATY team. As part of her role, she oversees the team's organizational coordination, is responsible for assigning responsibilities, maintaining internal discipline, and effectively collaborating with other team members.

The ENACTUS DULATY team implements socially significant projects aimed at improving people's quality of life in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through their participation in project activities, students make a significant contribution to the development of social entrepreneurship and the positive image of the university.

The exhibition-competition among artists "The Great Symbol of Sovereignty", organized in the Art Gallery of the Zhambyl Regional Museum of History and Local Lore dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Shaken Niyazbekov, has come to an end. At this significant event, 1st-year students of the "Music and Art Education" department of Taraz University named after M.Kh. Dulati, majoring in "Art Education (IP)", achieved excellent results: Ulmakhanova Asiya - 1st place, Rakhymbay Kymbat - 3rd place. The winners were awarded with a letter of appreciation from the deputy akim of the region at a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the work of the author of the National Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a famous artist, our compatriot Shaken Niyazbekov.

I-psychodiagnostics.kz psychological center opened!

Today, the first psychological center "I-psychodiagnostics.kz", created as a result of a scientific project at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Sciences of Taraz University named after M.Kh. Dulati, began its work.

This center is a tangible result of the introduction of modern digital solutions to automate the work of educational psychologists.

The policy of research work of the teaching staff of the faculty is aimed at the implementation of fundamental, search and applied work in the field of natural-mathematical and humanitarian-pedagogical sciences. In 2025, 295 articles were published at the faculty; 2 monographs, 4 in journals included in the Scopus database, 7 in journals included in the Web of Science database, 33 in journals recommended by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MSSTK), 185 in conference proceedings.

The faculty has 8 scientific circles. The main goal of the SSS is to intensify the research activities of students, to ensure the possibility of their participation in scientific research, the realization for each student of his right to the creative development of the individual in accordance with his abilities and needs.

The faculty implements 25 bachelor's, 5 master's programs. The content of educational programs is focused on the needs of social partners and employers.

The contingent of students is 1647, including 653 students studying on a grant, 994 students studying on a fee basis. The total number of students studying on a master's degree is 25, 13 students studying on a grant, and 12 students studying on a fee basis.

The teaching staff of the faculty  annually improve their qualifications in leading foreign, republican universities and centers: New Castle University (Great Britain), Wildau University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Vytautas University (Lithuania), Senior Expert Service, Center for Pedagogical Excellence AEO NIS, JSC NCPC "Orleu" , KazNPU named after Abai, KazNU named after. Al-Farabi and others, take an active part in scientific and methodological conferences, seminars, trainings.

The faculty implements elements of dual education in a number of educational programs. In particular, we can mention: Gymnasium 1 named after A. Bokeykhanov, secondary schools No. 3, 8, 23, 47, kindergarten No. 45 “Balbulak”, Kazakh Drama Theater named after A. Tokpanov, Taraz City House of Culture named after Y. Dukenuly, LLP “Akurpek”, “School-gymnasium with in-depth study of the Kazakh language and literature for gifted children named after Abai”, municipal state institution “Zhambyl regional interdepartmental psychological-medical-pedagogical consultation”,

One of the main tasks of the faculty is the implementation of a set of measures to educate young people in a high civic and moral position, a sense of patriotism and responsibility.

At the initiative of active students of the faculty, the “Association of Young Leaders” was created at the faculty for the work of the structure of student self-government.

The rapid development of artificial intelligence is already affecting the behavior and self-identification of the population, especially the youth. This is inevitable. This is because this trend is permanently changing the order and lifestyle of people around the world. We must be prepared for this and act boldly. Otherwise, the consequences of falling behind will be very serious. Therefore, I have set a very important strategic goal for us. Kazakhstan must become a mass digital country within three years. We have taken into account the Head of State's Message and carried out explanatory work on the need to modernize the economy through mass digitalization and the maximum implementation of artificial intelligence technologies.

A set of preventive measures has been carried out to prevent the spread of synthetic drugs among young people. Combating drugs is one of the most pressing issues facing humanity today. Therefore, fighting against drugs, being cautious, avoiding them, and leading a healthy lifestyle are the positions that drive humanity into the future. Contributing to the elimination of drugs is punishable under the law.

To foster a sense of patriotism towards preserving one's native language, customs, and traditions, instilling a love for one's homeland and native land. To teach students to appreciate the country's sovereignty by providing them with an understanding of the heroic deeds of our sons and daughters who first rose up against the center-left policies in December 1986.
