In line with the recommendations issued by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) following the 2026 specialized accreditation, the Department of “Russian Language and Literature” is continuing its efforts to expand academic mobility of students and foster cooperation with partner universities.

Measure to enhance academic mobility of students in collaboration with partner universities are being implemented according to the established action plan.

Elena S. Shmakova, PhD of the Department of Russian Language and Literature at M.Kh. Dulati Taraz Regional University, took part in the III International Linguoculturological Forum "Linguoculturology in the System of Modern Communications: Values, Images, Guidelines, Trends, and Artificial Intelligence." This large-scale scientific event took place from October 1 to October 3, 2026, at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) named after Patrice Lumumba in Moscow.

А doctoral student of the 8D01702 – “Teacher Training in Russian Language and Literature” educational program at Dulaty University Nusibaqyn Zhuldyz, has been undertaking research internship at the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature of the International Taraz University named after Sh. Murtaza since September 28, 2026. The Department is headed by Edilbek Bakhytzhanovich Abdymomynov, PhD.

As part of the implementation of recommendations of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), work is underway to enhance the content, graduate profile, and educational process of the 7M01702 program (“Training of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature”), aligning them with modern requirements for teacher training.

Modern higher education in Kazakhstan strives to create a unified, open, and dynamic research space. The implementation of academic and scientific dialogues between universities has become a critical condition for achieving this goal. A prime example of professional interaction and the mutual enrichment of research traditions is the scientific dialogue between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and M.Kh. Dulaty Taraz Regional University, which spans a key area of scientific development: the evaluation of highly qualified academic personnel.

From June 16 to 19, 2026, the CESS Regional Conference 2026, one of the most prestigious international academic platforms dedicated to Central Eurasian Studies, is being held at Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan. The theme of this year’s conference is “(Re)thinking Central Eurasia: Spaces, Societies, and Power.”

The conference brings together researchers, doctoral students, and early-career scholars from various countries around the world. The program includes plenary sessions, thematic sections, panel discussions, and special venues for presenting research findings on political, social, cultural, and historical processes in the Central Eurasian region.

A.M. Yessenbayeva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies at M.H. Dulaty Taraz University, is actively participating in the international conference and presenting her research to the international academic community.
