Professional biography/Education
N.V. Svidova’s professional career began in 1985 as a teacher in the Department of Russian and Foreign Literature at the Dzhambul Teacher Training Institute. Currently, N.V. Svidova is an associate professor at the Russian Language and Literature Department in Taraz State University named after M.Kh. Dulati. In 1997, N.V. Svidova confirmed her qualifications having defended her thesis at the Russian and Foreign Literature Department in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. N.V. Svidova has published more than 50 scientific articles and textbooks for students: “Interpretation of Russian Classics in Literature Classes” (2015, co-authored), “Analysis of Epic and Lyric Works of Kazakhstan Authors” (2019, co-authored). Nowadays, N.V. Svidova supervises the writing of scientific articles by students, moreover she actively takes part in high school students preparation to scientific activities in Taraz and the Zhambyl region as well. Students have been winning prizes in regional and national rounds of school students' scientific projects competition. Since 2017, N.V. Svidova, as member of an authors crew, has been successfully compiling "Russian Literature" textbooks for secondary schools in Republic of Kazakhstan. Today Russian literature textbooks written with her participance have been published and republished, one of them is for fifth grade, including an electronic textbook (Atamura Publishing House) and the second one is for ninth grade (Zhazushi Publishing House).
