Professional biography/Education

In 1976, he graduated from the S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University with a degree in Mathematics.

He began his career at the Zhezkazgan Pedagogical Institute in 1976, where he was sent after graduating with honors from the Mechanics and Mathematics Department of KazSU.

In 1979, he entered graduate school at the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and, under the supervision of Academician M. Otelbaev, successfully defended his PhD thesis on "On the Smoothness of Solutions of Degenerate Elliptic and One-Dimensional Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations."

From 1982 to 2013, he worked as a department head at the Zhezkazgan and Zhambyl Pedagogical Institutes, the M.Kh. Dulati Taraz State University, the L.Gumilyov Eurasian National University, and the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A. Yassavi.

In 1994, he defended his doctoral dissertation on "Separability Theorems and Spectral Properties of a Class of Differential Operators with Irregular Coefficients" at the Specialized Dissertation Council of the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 1996, he was awarded the title of professor by decision of the Supreme Attestation Committee.

Professor M. Muratbekov is the author of three monographs, five textbooks, and approximately 200 scientific papers, more than 50 of which have been published in internationally ranked journals. Four PhD and 18 PhD dissertations have been defended under his supervision. These works are valuable resources for young researchers.

Currently, his scientific school, where research is conducted, is successfully operating in Taraz. Professor M.B. Muratbekov and his students have been actively involved in implementing republican grant research projects since 1994.

Professor M.Muratbekov has established close creative and scientific ties with scientists from many universities and research centers abroad.

During his tenure, M.Muratbekov has proven himself to be an educator who continually refines his scientific and pedagogical skills. He conducts high-level educational work among the institute's faculty and students. He is actively involved in the social life of the institute, the city, and the region.
