In 1979, she graduated from the S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University with a degree in physics.
After graduating from the Physics and Mathematics Department of the Kazakh State University in 1979, she was accepted as an assistant professor in the Physics Department of the 50th Anniversary of October Zhambyl Pedagogical Institute
In 1983, she completed a research internship at the Laboratory of Electronic Semiconductors at the A.F. Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute in Leningrad. In 1985, she was accepted into graduate school at the A.F. Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute, specializing in Semiconductors and Dielectrics, from which she graduated in 1988.
In 1988, he defended his PhD thesis in specialty 010410 – “Physics of Semiconductors and Dielectrics” at the A.F. Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
From 1988 to the present, she has worked as a lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, and head of the Department of Physics and Methods of Teaching Physics at the Taraz State Pedagogical Institute.
From the 2007 to the 2017 academic year, she held the position of head of the Department of Physics and Physics.
From the 2017 academic year to the present, she has worked as an associate professor in the departments of "Teaching Methods in Physics and Physics" and "Physics and Computer Science."
In 2023, she completed a research internship at the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools Center for Pedagogical Excellence on the topic of "Physics Lessons in Schools: Priorities and Strategies for Improvement."
Associate Professor B.Zh. Kushkimbayeva has authored approximately 90 research papers, three specialized textbooks, and three teaching aids.
B.Zh. Kushkimbayeva effectively supervises undergraduate and graduate students' research work. The number of jointly published articles by B.Zh. Kushkimbayeva, based on the results of the research work of master's students, is 20.
With 47 years of experience, she has received awards, including letters of gratitude, from the institute, university, and regional education department. She has also received awards from the Republic of Kazakhstan for her contribution to education and youth development:
