1972–1973 – Agricultural worker.
1973–1975 – Operator at the nitrogen–oxygen workshop of the Shymkent Phosphorus Plant.
1975–1979 – Studied at the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Art and Graphics, majoring in Drawing and Fine Arts Teaching.
1979 – Employed as Assistant at the Department of “Technology of Garment Products” of the Zhambyl Technological Institute of Light and Food Industry.
1983–1987 – Postgraduate studies at the Order of the Red Banner of Labour Textile Institute in Moscow.
1989 – Defended a dissertation as an external doctoral candidate and was awarded the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences in the specialty 05.19.07 – “Artistic Decoration of Light and Textile Products and Product Modeling”.
1994–1998 – Head of the Department of “Drawing and Special Composition”, Zhambyl Technological Institute of Light and Food Industry.
